Radioactive kinase assaysThe Biotrak radioactive kinase assays provide a simple and reliable means of detecting kinase activity in a variety of samples. The assay system is based upon the kinase catalyzed transfer of the gamma-phosphate group of adenosine-5'-triphosphate (ATP) to a peptide which is highly selective for the assayed kinase.

The reaction is initiated by the addition of [gamma-32P] ATP or [gamma-33P] ATP (sold separately). Incubation proceeds for thirty minutes and the peptide is separated from unincorporated activity using a binding paper separation step. Each pack contains sufficient reagents for 240 assay tubes. |
