High sensitivity nonradioactive labeling

Nucleic acid labeling

Please select the labeling and detection method that meets your needs:

Radioactive labeling

For highest levels of sensitivity with strict control of hybridization stringency conditions.
Direct nonradioactive labeling

Simplest and quickest non-radioactive labeling method.

Labeling of the hybridization probe in Southern or Northern blotting allows the user to locate and identify the target nucleic acid on the blot during the detection step.

The probe can be labeled with radioactivity, fluorescence or tagged with an enzyme that generates a chemiluminescent signal when incubated with an appropriate substrate. The choice of label is based upon several factors such as sensitivity, quantification requirements, ease-of-use and experimental time.
