Fluorescent antibody and protein labeling reagents

Introduction to CyDye Fluors
- Versatile fluorophores can be used in a broad range of applications.
- pH tolerance (3-10) allows use at biologically relevant pH.
- DMSO tolerance allows transfer from storage to assay without loss of performance.
- Good aqueous solubility: no need for organic solvents in buffers.
- Superior photostability compared with other dyes (e.g. fluorescein).
- High purity and thorough QC testing ensures high levels of chromophore and reactive dye content.
Each CyDye fluor is available in a choice of three labeling chemistries:-
NHS ester dyes label amine groups and are available as either mono-reactive or bis-reactive dyes:
-
Mono-reactive dyes are suitable for targeted, precise labeling of antibodies, proteins, peptides and oligonucleotides
-
Bis-reactive dyes are used for general labeling of proteins
- Maleimide dyes label thiol groups (e.g. cysteine sulfhydryl)
- Hydrazide dyes label aldehyde groups (e.g. glycoproteins)
CyDye fluors are available as either: - Reactive dye 5-packs and antibody labeling kits. Pre-measured, foil sealed packs for convenience
Value packs. Bulk dispensed dyes for maximum economy
GE Healthcare is willing to outlicense its CyDye fluors for most applications. Please contact your local sales office if you wish to license CyDye fluors for commercial activity.
