Microfiltration cross-flow
Microfiltration (MF) is a lower pressure process, intended to separate submicron-sized species resulting in solution concentration or clarification. GE Healthcare hollow-fiber MF membranes are continuous sponge-like structures, whose pore size is characterized by an integrity test.
Unique features of our hollow-fiber MF membranes include:
- Self Contained Device: Enables Aseptic and Biohazard Processing.
- Open Channel: Enables High Solids Feeds and Gentle Processing.
- Sharp Selectivity: Enables Fine Molecule Separation and stable flux
- Product Breadth: Enables Process flexibility for scale up where ultimate solids content is unknown.
- High Temperature Tolerance: Enables steam-in-place (SIP) and/or hot water sanitization.
GE Healthcare provides several classes of filtration products. If you are not sure what class of product you need, please use our product selection guide.
